Horses, Horses, Horses!

February 1, 2017

Horses are grazing animals that are adapted to run fast and have good endurance. Theses qualities led humans to breed horses for many different and useful jobs. Today horses are mainly bred for color and special characteristics.
One very famous horses known for riding and driving is the Lipizzaner. They are also known for draft work and classical dressage. While most horses live to be around 28 years old, the Lipizzaner lives to be well into their 30’s. Their height is around 15.2 hands high. They originated from Slovenia and were first bred by Archduke Maximillian. They come in black, bay, grey and mostly white colors. These horses are very beautiful and are exquisite for English riders.
Another horse that is almost as beautiful and the Lipizzaner is the Pony of the Americas. This pony was developed  in 1954 by Lesile Boomhower. He originally made these horses specially for young children. This horse has a remarkable good temperament. It has short and strong legs and hard feet that are not prone to diseases from the hard ground. They are able to run fast and long distances. Their height is usually 11.2 hands high but can also get to be 14 hands high. This horse is spotted and has developed from the U.S.
The horses I mentioned are only a couple out of 100 million horses in the world. Horses I think are one of Gods most beautiful and interesting creatures and are wanted widely throughout the world.
